These cute Gingerbread people cutters by FMM Sugarcraft were included in Novembers Cake Bag along with a pack of Squires Kitchen sugar modelling paste in Teddy Bear Brown; the perfect colour to create gingerbread decorations for your festive bakes!
In this post, I’ve created a step by step tutorial on how to use these cutters, which include 2 different sizes of Gingerbread people along with bows, waist coats and dress cutters so you can make perfect 3D decorations!
I also used various sprinkles and an edible art pen to create buttons and eyes.
First; roll out the sugar modelling paste about 1mm thin.
Cut out the Gingerbread people.
Use a modelling tool to create the mouths. I used a semi-circle tool to imprint the shape on the head.
Use a small paintbrush to dot some edible glue where you want to place the eyes and attach a couple of sprinkles on top of the glue.
Use the clothes cutters with various festive colours of sugar modelling pastes to create the waist coats, dresses and bows and attach to the Gingerbread people using edible glue. I also used sprinkles to create buttons!
Use edible art pens to create eyes on the smaller Gingerbread people.
And you’ve created super cute gingerbread people to adorn all your Christmas celebration cakes, cupcakes and cookies!
We hope you enjoy this easy tutorial and hope it sparks some ideas for your cake creations for the festive season! Don’t forget to share your creations with us on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter using the hashtag #cakebagcreations. We love seeing what you create and your cakes and bakes might make it into the cake bag booklet that gets sent out with each edition!
